Welcome to Karen Kerr Brand. I am a creative branding designer based in Glasgow. With over 15 years agency experience, I bring big agency thinking with a personal touch.
I work in collaboration with my clients to develop the best branding and creative strategies for their business. Branding is the face and personality of your business, your ethos and promise to your customers distilled into a visual snippet of everything you stand for. Usually the first point of interaction, be it online or brand-in-hand, getting your brand and language right is key in todays 24\7 always open market.
Structural changes or expansion of a product line often offer the opportunity for businesses to ensure their brand is fit for purpose - capturing their customers attention. However, the mere passing of time is enough to leave your brand behind your competition.

VALUES
Following on from gaining my BA Hons in Graphic Design from Duncan of Jordanstone, in Dundee, I undertook a year of work placements – learning hard and fast from the best in the Scottish industry, in a variety of studios of all shapes and sizes – I gained valuable insight and experience, hitting the ground running in my first role as a Junior Designer at Ten Alps in Edinburgh. I worked through the ranks over the next 10 years in a wide variety of studios, learning valuable lessons from each.
After being made redundant in 2010, I used it as a springboard to start a freelance career, during which an initial 2 week paternity cover lead to my latest agency role as Head of Design, shaping the studio and the creative offering. I made the decision to leave this role at the end of 2019, to strike the balance between work and life and to concentrate solely on my passion for branding. And here we are, Karen Kerr Brand. Utilising all the learnings from agency experience combined with a personal hands on approach, i work together, with my clients to realise their vision and beyond.

I am a story teller. I take everything at the heart of what a company is or does and weave this essence into a powerful visual identity that talks directly to your customers. Lifting you above the competition, finding your place and defining your space in the market.
COLLABORATE.
I work with my clients. A brand is often very personal to a business , it is their baby that they have watched grow and let’s face it change can be difficult and daunting. I understand and help you to look objectively at positive changes to evolve and grow your brand for the future.
PRIDE.
I take great pride in my work. Design is personal, a little bit of me goes into everything I do. It’s a craft. My aim is to pass this passion into your brand, to allow a company to stand tall on it’s shoulders. A solid foundation instilling confidence and trust.

Wether starting from scratch or evolving an existing brand the greatest thing you can do is bring your customers on the journey with you. By weaving the narrative of your values through your brand – your ‘why’ and your passion – it gives customers a consistent and clear insight into why you are right for them.
